Haven’t heard of Content Creatives? It’s a 24 week paid training programme and work placement that can open the door for you into the creative industry in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.

What will you do on the programme?

Dive into the varied training curriculum covering practical theoretic and soft skills essential for content creation. Your work experience duties will vary depending on your assigned placement. The Content Creatives team will match you up with a position tailored to your personal strengths, to help you get the most out of the opportunity.


What can you expect from the programme?

Join us for eight weeks of bespoke training with industry experts at SharpFutures, followed by a sixteen-week placement in a creative organisation in West Yorkshire or Greater Manchester. This placement will be your opportunity to practise your new skills and make your first big splash in the creative industry.


The training with SharpFutures kicks off in September. This is where you will experience all aspects of creating and delivering digital content. You’ll undertake a range of courses covering skills such as:

• Production techniques

• Digital storytelling

• Ideas generation

• Pitching skills

• Podcasting

• Soft skills, e.g., Communication & Teamwork


After this training, your placement will commence with either 4Studio, or a creative organisation partner of Channel 4. There’s a variety of exciting placements available for successful candidates, with past partners including McCann, Born Ugly, Dentsu Creative and Dubit. The responsibilities of the role will vary depending on your placement, but you could gain experience in any of these areas:

• Communications & PR

• Social Media

• Production

• Graphic Design

• Animation / 3D

• SEO

• Copywriting

• Web Development

• Advertising


Who is this programme for?

Content Creatives is open to anyone aged 18 or over.

You do not need to have any previous experience or a degree in media or digital. We just want to hear from people who have a passion for digital content and want to see how they can turn this into a career.

We are passionate about providing opportunities to those who may need them most. We are therefore particularly keen to receive applications from young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.


What is the application process?

The application process consists of four steps. You will be offered support from our helpful team at every stage:

1. Register online – fill out a couple of simple details to get started

2. Fill out your application – answer a couple of questions on our site to check if you are eligible for the programme

3. Get support – if you are eligible our team will invite you to complete your video interview, as well as answering any questions you may have

4. Complete your video interview – record yourself answering the interview questions, don’t worry, you will have time to practise

5. Discovery day – meet up with like-minded candidates and give us the chance to get to know you better

More Information

Please note you must be aged 18 or over and able to work in-person in Greater Manchester to apply for this course. You are eligible to apply if you will be 18 by the time the course starts in September.

The first eight weeks of Content Creatives will be delivered remotely online, when possible, but may be in person subject to location availability. The course will run Monday to Friday during office hours. The work placement could involve hybrid working with some days working from home and some in an office.?This is dependent on the company. Equipment to work from home will be provided.
